On Saturday, December 21, 2024, a lecture titled "Preventive Awareness on Drugs and Their Effects on Individuals and Society" was held at the Cultural Center in Gharyan. The event was organized in collaboration with Al-Razi Hospital for Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases, featuring a distinguished group of specialists in this field, including Dr. Rajab Abu Janah and Dr. Sassi Musa.

The lecture began with Dr. Rajab Abu Janah, who discussed the psychological and mental effects of smoking and presented some statistics from previous years. 

After a short break, the second part of the lecture, led by Dr. Sassi Musa, addressed the role of public spaces in spreading this negative phenomenon and the absence of family involvement in guiding children to the right path. 

In conclusion, appreciation was extended to all attendees for their efforts, especially the College Dean, Deputy for Academic Affairs, faculty members, postgraduate students, and some undergraduates. Special thanks were given to the Head of Administrative Affairs for direct coordination with university officials.
